Ravinder Reddy was presented with Global Print Leadership Award by Thayer Long, President of National Printing Equipment Suppliers Association at the Print 17 Global Exhibition in Chicago. Ravinder Reddy received this award in recognition of his service in promoting the printing industry in Telangana and also taking printers delegations to Global Print Exhibitions held in Germany, China, Isreal and US. Below are the list of recommendations: Landing and Building for Association Allotment of government land for Printing and Packaging industry Subsidy on capital investment, VAT and Power Change of power tariff category from Cat II to Cat III Establishment of Training center and sponsorship of training program for skilled and semi-skilled workers Above recommendations will aide printing industry to prosper. Telangana Offset Printers Association requests the Government of Telangana to give the required impetus by liberally coming forward in creating a special "Printing and Packaging city" in a land exclusively earmarked for the presses located in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. To take the advantage of the potential of a big city like Hyderabad, printers from all the remaining thirty districts should be encouraged to establish presses thus giving a fillip to employment.

From global perspective, printing industry in general has been the second largest industry after automobile industry. The Indian Print Industry has undergone a revolutionary change in the last 15 years. In 1990, India initiated a process of reforms aimed at shedding protectionism and embracing liberalization of the economy. Privatization was initiated with the aim of integrating the [[Indian economy]] with the world economy. This change opened the doors for the Indian Print Industry to modernize, by investing in the latest of technology and machinery. The average compound annual growth rate has been higher than 12% over the last 15 years. Our packaging industry is currently growing at a rate of more than 16% a year. Thanks to formation of the new state of Telangana, the offset printers in the ten districts have come under one umbrella and formed the Telangana Offset Printers Association (TOPA). Hyderabad and Secunderabad share the highest density of printing industry while small to medium presses are scattered few and far in the remaining nine districts. In pre bifurcation scenario, the next biggest printing industry segment used to be in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. By virtue of Hyderabad being the capital, hundreds of crores of rupees were invested in establishing reputed presses catering to printing and packaging sectors. While most of the reputed press owners originally hail from places other than Telangana, the fact remains that having settled here they very much belong to Telangana.
